Today starts my daily listing of my Top Ten lists (in no particular order – it’s hard enough for me to limit it to ten!) of the Best Books I’ve Read this year in different categories.
Since it’s a Monday, I’m starting with the Middle Grades books. If you haven’t read these, you should definitely add to your To Be Read list! Titles link to my reviews.
Disclaimer: I read a lot of books this year, but there are still quite a few middle grades books I didn’t get to. This is by no means an exhaustive list of the quality middle grades book that came out in 2012.

I liked and bought all of these! The only other one I would add is Mike Lupica's Game Changers, to which I have an inordinate attachment.

The only one that I read so far is Wonder- which is at the top of my list. Most of the books you mentioned are on the top of my list to read. Can't wait to get started! Thanks for sharing.

Sadly, the only one up there that I've read is WONDER, but it was top of my list as well. I even own THE ONE AND ONLY IVAN, lol. Thanks for the list.

Great choices. I really liked Keeper of the Lost Cities, One for the Murphys, and Island of Silence. Another super awesome book is The False Prince by Jennifer Nielson.
